BENNETT
BENNETT - wow is this guy gorgeous!!!  Little Bennett was left at
the pound in Houston.  He thought he was going to be a lucky little guy - an
adopter saw his cute little face and put her name on him.  Unfortunately, he
tested positive for heartworm disease and the adopter backed out.

Because of the long recovery period(six weeks) and the expense of treating
($450-$600) heartworms, most dogs that arrive at animal control
facilities with heartworm disease are, out of necessity, euthanized.   Death
would have been this dog's fate without the donors that allow us to save
and treat medical conditions like this.

Bennett needs someone to help sponsor his medical bills.

Here Bennett is getting his mug shot at
the pound.  He thought he was going to be
a lucky boy and get a forever home, but
the adopter backed out when they found
out he had heartworms.

Once we picked him up, we took him to
our vet where he had a complete
examination, shots and was neutered.
After we received his blood tests back
and they indicated he was a healthy dog,
we started his heartworm treatment.
