Brooks is an adorable Shih Tzu boy who
found wandering the streets alone. He is
heartworm positive. Below Brooks is a
picture a heart that is 85% infested with
heartworms. Treating heartworms is an
expensive and lengthy process. Therefore
most dogs who are found positive for
heartworms have no chance of getting
adopted because shelters can not afford to
treat them, so their only hope of adoption
is to be first taken into a rescue group for
treatment. Brooks was luckily found by us
first and is currently undergoing
treatment for heartworms.
