This is Christian. A wonderful lady saw him
struggling across the street, seemingly delirious,
wandering around and falling from side to side each
time he got up. She called in a panic as she could not
get him to eat or drink. By the time our volunteer
got there, he had started drinking and had eaten a
bite or two. We really think that he was just a
fraction away from extreme heat exhaustion
and/or stroke. He was coming around as he cooled
off.

Christian has a minor heart murmur and an extreme
case of heartworms. He also has what we hope
arthritis and not neurological damage. He has that
stilted gait associated with arthritis but it's in
both his back AND front legs. They keep going out
from under him on smooth surfaces. The vet is
trying to rule out neurological problems and has put
him on rhimadyl which is really helping him so we are
keeping our fingers crossed.
