Dawson is a wonderful, happy-face little lhasa
boy. Can't be over 14-15 months old. The problem
- he cannot walk. We're taking him to the
neurologist for a myleogram to see if there is
anything that can be done to help his back. The
myleogram is estimated at around $1200-$1500.
He also just had to have bladder stone surgery.

Update 2005-09-08
Dawson had a myleogram which revealed a
compression at T11-T12 on the right. The
diagnosis is an intervertebral disc extrusion.
Several other tests revealed that Dawson's
neurological deficits were localized to spinal cord
segments T3-L3. Surgical decompression is the
recommended treatment.

Please help us pay for Dawson's myleogram and
surgery.

Update 2005-09-11
It's 11 pm Sunday night and we're still way short
of the funds needed for Dawson's critical back
surgery. This baby boy is indeed a baby - with a
sweet and loving personality.

Unfortunately we need to schedule the surgery
Monday, yes that's TOMORROW, for this baby
boy!! Guys, we HAVE to get this little guy fixed!
We have the chance to make him whole - we have
to do it!

If you think you will need a tax deduction for year
end, we're asking you - please don't wait - this
little dog's future is dependent on this surgery.
Adorable baby lhasa boy Dawson urgently needs
help

Dawson is one we received through the Houston
SPCA's adoption partners' program. When the
SPCA gets in little dogs that have serious injuries
or diseases, they allow groups like ours to take
the dog into our program for rehabilitation
instead of simply euthanizing.

You know we only ask for help when we have
medical expenses that will not be covered by an
adoption fee. Right now, we still have a lot of
outstanding medical expenses and with Katrina
victims on top of it, we have to have the funds
before we commit.

We really want to help this little boy.
