Fritz
Little Fritz is in bad shape.  We picked him up a week ago
from one of the Dallas-area shelters.  He was matted,
flea-ridden and had rotten teeth and a 105 temperature.  He
also had a severe respiratory infection.  We have had him on
fluids and antibiotics for the week, but he is showing little
improvement.  We NEED to take him to Dr. Ward, the
distemper specialist to see if Dr. Ward can save him.

So far this year, we've lost two to distemper - Jingles and
Tanner - but also saved two - Checkers and Charlie.

We hope you'll help us save Fritz.

Update 10-26-2004 - WAHOO - we just got Fritz's
distemper test back - it's NEGATIVE, therefore he will
stay hospitalized at our vet for a few weeks getting over
this horrible illness.  Although he has been being force fed
for the past few days, today, he ate chicken!

Our Stories
About Us
Forever Fosters are dogs that no one wants to adopt.  They might
be seniors and considered too old by most adoptive families.  Some
have terminal medical conditions and consequently, no one wants to
adopt them for that reason.

But we feel that they deserve a loving home despite their
problems.  So these special ones become "Forever Fosters."  This
means that they live the remainder of their lives with their foster
family but in the Lone Star Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso Rescue
"Forever Foster" program.  The foster family provides a loving
home for the little dogs to live out the remainder of their lives.

But the little dogs need YOUR help with their medical bills.    Each
of the "Forever Fosters" needs a sponsor for their veterinary
bills.
