UPDATE:  JULY 2004 - AT RISK SHELTER DOGS

Thanks to all of you, we saved 34 dogs from Texas Shelters in July.  The ones we were able to save were scheduled
for euthanasia at the city animal control facilities simply because there is not enough interest by qualified
adopters.  These little guys and gals were almost the unfortunate victims of a timing problem - too many dogs show
up just before holidays and vacations.  We did not want them to die and neither did you - THANKFULLY.

Unfortunately, we need at least 20 more FOSTER HOMES to get these guys out of boarding.  We are boarding way
too many and although we received quite a bit of financial donations, we will rapidly run out of the money set aside
for boarding.  Please consider helping us with this mission.

OR, if you are a prior adopter, and you are able, PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING one of these dogs for at least
the next TWO MONTHS. Email us at
teresa@shihtzu-rescue.com.  If you emailed us about fostering and have
not heard back, please email again.  Our website was down for two days and we lost quite a few emails.

PLEASE consider donating or fostering - either way, we save one of these
precious lives.

We are also in dire need of help with the medical expenses for many of these little
guys.  If you can, please consider helping the ones listed at
www.shihtzu-rescue.com/Sponsor.

With a combination of several new foster homes and donations from many of you, we were able
to save these little guys from death.

Although we were able to save these
dogs from the shelters, we still do not
have enough foster homes.  PLEASE,
PLEASE consider fostering one or more
of these little guys and gals for few
months while we find their perfect home.
