This little girl probably has advanced glaucoma and will lose this eye. Her other eye is already gone.

June 18, 2004 update: We picked the little dogs up this morning from the SPCA and they are temporarily being fostered in Dallas. CLICK HERE for new pictures.

This is a very, very urgent request for help to save SEVEN little dogs who have lived their lives in one of the worst puppymills in Texas. They DESERVE to be shown love!! Read the SPCA's recap of the conditions found at the mill. There are SEVEN dogs and are described with the following medical conditions: Three with severe skin problems and general health problems. One with demodex mange. This mange has, most likely, been passed to this little girl's puppies, also. Two with eye problems. One little lhasa female described as "joints broken, all legs/dry eye/cataracts/hook worms." I just cannot imagine what the "joints broken, all legs" is like.

We need to get these little dogs as fast as possible, get them to our vet and get these problems FIXED. But, we need your help to do so. Please, we cannot do this without help. Remember that 100% of what you donate to this fund will go to our veterinarians. Just based on what it's cost in the past to get mill dogs to a condition for adoption, we are estimating $750-$1000 PER DOG - so you can see why we are in such a dilemma right now. UPDATE: Our vet has already looked at four of these dogs - although two have demodex and one has an eye that will most likely be removed, they are all heartworm NEGATIVE. So, we don't believe it will take more than$600-$700 for each dog!! Please, please, please let us help these little survivors!!!

In addition to funds, we are desperate for more foster and adoptive homes - primarily in the greater DFW and Houston Metro areas. We cover ALL medical expenses on our little dogs. Foster homes need to have lots of patience and love for the dogs. If you would like to apply to be a foster home or adopt one of these little dogs, please CLICK HERE. |
