Weena is an adorable Shih Tzu girl who
was left at a local shelter. She had no
chance of adoption there because she was
heartworm positive. Below Weena is a
picture a heart infested with heartworms.
Treating heartworms is an expensive and
lengthy process. Therefore most dogs who
are found positive for heartworms have no
chance of getting adopted because shelters
can not afford to treat them, so their only
hope of adoption is to be first taken into a
rescue group for treatment. Thankfully, the
shelter gave us a call and we picked this
sweet little girl. Weena is currently
undergoing treatment for heartworms.
